Thank you, thank you, thank you. These are the first words that comes to my mind when I try to summarize the last couple of weeks, that were tough for everyone at different levels. Here is how a business well known as ESSENTIELLE lived it.
March 25th 6 o’clock, Bye girls, thank you for being there but I don’t know when we will be able to open the store again. Take care of yourself and stay safe. I will keep you posted on any developments. We keep our fingers crossed…
March 26th 4 o’clock, I finally receive the confirmation that we are recognized as an essential business during the battle against COVID19. Right away, we set social distancing markers, directions in the store and sanitary procedures. Ready for Saturday, March 28th with a reduced team to 3 employees at the customer service and one to finalize the transactional web site started last Fall. Our online store is launched on April 10th. You like it, you order and we deliver with so much fun, phew!
April 21st, We reinstate a fifth employee because the handmade face covers, created by Les Anges Masqués generate an unforeseen traffic in our boutique. This sudden high demand along with a clientele that are not aware of our high standard values and customer service will bring us on a completeley emotional rollercoaster.
A gigantic thank you to our customers loyal for 10 years now. Without your constant support, we would not have survived these difficult moments. You kept on purchasing your day-to-day goods with the same local purchasing and healthy values for your family by not buying extra containers. It is not always easy. On my end, I had to buy different overwrapped products with a twinge of regret but with philosophy since it was for the security of all of us.
Thank you for following our new rules and guidelines with pride and eagerness. Congratulations for bringing back your cleaned containers. Thank you for being committed to the security of our Vert Essentiel’s team. Thank you for understanding the additionnal delays due to new mandatory actions taken by our staff. We need to take the time to wash our hands and surfaces after every customer. Our hands are still aching but we have good creams.
Thank you to the fantastic team that greets you, day after day, with a smile and positive energy to ensure that your visit is a bright occasion. They adapt to the new security measures with open mind, comprehension and gratitude.
Thank you for your patience when the lineups are getting longer outside by good or bad weather. The limitation of customer numbers in the store is a great management challenge for our team at all time. I must admit that the first two weeks were draining. Imagine repeating the same sentences 200 times per day! To step backward in order to keep the secure distancing, as an Argentinian Tango, to ask everyone to not touch anything because of the cleaning we would have to do every night! We had to face some customer’s dissatisfaction but please know that every business had to rapidly adapt themselves to these unplanned changes with limited means.
Thank you for supporting local purchasing which is currently blooming. The business owners that created quality jobs, that managed well their business over the years needs your support more than ever. Maximize our local purchasing to stay away from a bland and flat region. Spread the word around and be proud to say: This product is from my region! Visit https://explorevs.com/ to get more information on what the region has to offer.
For my part, my goal is to offer a heart on the file of the businesses I visit and I like.
Enjoy your summer!
