Do sports clothes retain the smell of perspiration after washing? Odor problems on washcloths and towels? This is probably due to residual moisture that causes mold and mildew growth.

To overcome this problem, simply add 1/4 cup of borax to the wash load.

If odours are well established, soak for several hours and wash as usual afterwards.  

Rinse well by performing a double rinse to remove any residue.  

CAUTION: Do not confuse borax with boric acid which is harmful for the environment and health.  

WARNING: Borax is toxic, do not handle with hands. Being a bactericide, it is not recommended to use it regularly if you have a septic tank. For more information on borax, consult its product sheet on our online store.
